This May 2011 walkthrough tours Unit 401 at Porter 156, a corner penthouse loft filmed while Jeffrey Bowen was offering it for rent. Being a corner home, it takes light from two exposures, and the film leans on that brightness as it moves through a single-level plan of 1,314 square feet.
The unit’s own description fills out the specification: two full bathrooms, in-loft laundry, bamboo floors and central air conditioning, several wardrobes for clothes storage, and a kitchen with Bosch stainless appliances, a gas range and stainless counters. It also carried two garage parking spaces — a rare pairing in East Boston rental stock, and a headline feature of the offering.
