Ask a real-estate question. Get a straight answer — with the data shown.
Buying, selling, renting or investing in Greater Boston — the question goes to the broker who has actually closed the deals: 818 MLS transactions on the record.
I’m Jeffrey Bowen — a Massachusetts licensed real estate broker with 25 years in this business and 818 MLS transactions on the record: 605 sold, 212 rented, and a book that starts in Chelsea and runs across Greater Boston. This page is the front door for every question I answer in public. You ask the real-estate question; you get a straight answer from the broker who has actually closed the deals.
How it works
- Ask a question about buying, selling, renting or investing in Greater Boston — a city, a building, a price range, a situation.
- Questions are answered here as published Q&A posts, with the data shown — MLS numbers, sale prices, days on market — never just an opinion.
- The daily “What You Get for the Money” series lives here too: one city a day, condos, multis and singles, what your money actually buys at today’s prices.

Use the Past Property Sales page for the dedicated sold-property collection and Past Listings & Property History for the broader historical record.

What makes a loft different?
Lofts often have open floor plans, high ceilings, large windows and exposed brick, timber or concrete. Some are true factory conversions; others are newer loft-style homes. Bedrooms may be fully enclosed, partially enclosed or open to the living area, so review the actual layout rather than relying on the word “loft.” Parking, outdoor space, elevators, in-unit laundry, air conditioning, pet rules and move-in requirements vary by building and residence. Ask what is included in the rent and verify current fees, deposits, utilities, insurance requirements and building rules before applying.
Originally answered on: I have Boston Lofts For Rent. Are you looking to Rent a Boston loft?
Are the old prices on this page still current?
No. This page was first published as a rental marketing page, and its old price ranges and offers are preserved only in the recoverable archive record. Use the current listings search or ask Jeffrey to verify today’s availability and asking rent.
Originally answered on: I have Boston Lofts For Rent. Are you looking to Rent a Boston loft?
Do all lofts include parking?
No. Parking may be included, separately deeded, rented, assigned or unavailable. Confirm the exact space, cost and rights for each listing.
Originally answered on: I have Boston Lofts For Rent. Are you looking to Rent a Boston loft?
What should I have ready before applying?
Requirements vary, but a landlord or property manager may request identification, income or employment documentation, references, a rental application and permission for screening. Ask for the complete requirements and lawful fee information for the specific property before submitting personal information.
