This video, published October 11, 2013, is the Unit 2 tour from the four-condo launch at 58 Eleanor Street on Soldiers Hill. All four homes came to market the same weekend — a Saturday wine-and-cheese preview followed by a Sunday open house — and the filming gives each floor plan its own walkthrough rather than one shared building video.

The renovation behind the four condos was total: a turn-of-the-century house rebuilt from top to bottom, its period charm kept and its systems and finishes made new. Unit 2’s headline feature was its parking — two spaces, a genuine rarity among Chelsea condominiums then and now. The register records the four Eleanor Street homes all selling before the end of 2013, closing out the project in a single season.

Soldiers Hill is Chelsea’s hilltop neighbourhood of grand older houses, and Eleanor Street is one of its defining streets. Conversions like this one — one historic house, several renovated condos, marketed unit by unit on video — became a template in Jeffrey Bowen’s Chelsea practice, and Unit 2’s tour is the second chapter of that first complete set.
