156 Porter Street Unit 146, Porter 156 Lofts — Video Tour
156 Porter Street Unit 146, East Boston, MA 02128
This video tour walks through Unit 146 at Porter 156 Lofts, the loft at 156 Porter Street in East Boston that Jeffrey Bowen offered for rent in August 2010. The camera moves through the loft as it was presented at the time, giving a direct sense of the open industrial layout, the scale of the living space and how the unit reads in person rather than in still photographs alone. It is the moving record that accompanies the unit’s own property post.
Porter 156 Lofts are industrial lofts converted from a bra factory in 2005, and the community consists of 216 lofts, with no two lofts alike. The building was described at the time as well managed, and this tour sits inside a long run of Porter 156 rentals and sales that Bowen handled in the building. Unit 146’s own record post carries the same address and unit number, tying the video to a specific home inside the larger converted factory.
The building stands in the Jeffries Point neighborhood of East Boston, within walking distance of the MBTA Blue Line at the Maverick Square stop. That transit link is part of why Porter 156 rentals drew interest: a loft home in East Boston with a straightforward Blue Line route toward downtown Boston, in a neighborhood the building’s own marketing was already pointing to when this tour was filmed.
