653-659 Washington Street, Norwood, MA 02062 — Restaurant and Bar — Video Tour

653-659 Washington Street, Norwood, MA 02062 · Restaurant and bar · Commercial

Published the same day as its companion, November 15, 2010, this tour takes the restaurant-and-bar view of 653-659 Washington Street in Norwood. Where the companion video walks the three retail spaces, this one stays with the hospitality operation itself — the bar and nightclub, the full-service restaurant, the pizza and sandwich store and the catering business that shared the address.

The offering joined the real estate to the businesses: four food and beverage operations sold with their inventory, their equipment — mostly under five years old, including a sound and light system with a DJ booth — and their licences, the full liquor licence with the property and a beer and wine licence held through the town. Two full kitchens served the restaurant side, and the basement added some 5,000 square feet below the 5,012 square feet above.

Jeffrey Bowen listed the package with discretion as a condition of the sale — the owner’s customers and employees were not to know — which is part of why the surviving record leans on video: two full tours, filmed back to back, that documented a working Washington Street business block as it stood in 2010. Both tours live in this Norwood segment alongside the property post that carried the offering.
