This update, published March 5, 2023 and reporting the project as of February 28, finds the Chelsea Flats about seventy percent complete. The new-construction building at 157 Chestnut Street was on track for closings by the end of June 2023, and the video reports eleven homes still available at that point, with offers expected on some of them that week.
The Chelsea Flats holds fourteen condos, all two-bedroom, two-bath layouts between 904 and 1,786 square feet across the wider development. Homes were finished with GE Profile stainless appliances and quartz counters, in-unit laundry and custom-tile bathrooms, and each carries one deeded parking space, with garage parking at 157. The building shares a common roof deck and media room with the Chelsea Cathedral next door at 163.
During construction the project held open houses every Wednesday and Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., with private showings arranged through Jeffrey Bowen. The finished building delivered on the update’s promise: Jeffrey Bowen’s register records the Chelsea Flats homes selling through the spring of 2024, and the completed units were filmed individually once the building opened.
