Chelsea is so close to Boston and may get a bad rep and I am writing this blog to shed new light on Chelsea MA.
First let me say that I am a resident of Chelsea and I have been for 3 years. Chelsea is only 4 miles to Boston and is only 1.8 Miles wide in Diameter. Chelsea borders Revere, East Boston and Everett.
Chelsea has a thriving art community and I believe the real estate values here will grow by 30% over the next ten years. Chelsea has new loft developments, commercial developments and is an untapped market for big growth.
I currently live @ The Spencer Lofts which is 100 loft condominiums that was developed in 2005 in the Broadway neighborhood of Chelsea. There is an art gallery here that hosts new artists on a monthy basis. I find a community of people who are professionals, artists, teachers and come from a wide variety of backgrounds.
There are a few other Loft communities in Chelsea such as the Keen Studios, which is 1 block away from Spencer lofts and The Industrie Lofts which is 2 blocks away. Pearl Street lofts are in downtown Chelsea as well. Someone is bound to finish The Forbes Lofts and that will make up another fantastic waterfront loft community in Chelsea.
I can drive from the Spencer Lofts to downtown Boston in under 7 minutes through the Ted Williams tunnel. I can also take the Tobin Bridge to Storrow Drive to get to Fenway Park in under 10 minutes. I can take the bus #’s 117 or #116 to maverick square in under ten minutes and be on my way into Boston by the blue line. I also can take the #111 express bus to haymarket. There is also a commuter rail in Chelsea that brings people to and from South Station and out to Newburyport.
I love Chelsea and I invite everyone to “Rethink Chelsea” and come and take a look to see what it has to offer.
